COVID Policy

Abrons Arts Center will no longer be requiring proof of vaccination for entering the building.

Masks are highly encouraged, but no longer mandatory for visitors at Abrons Arts Center. Masks are required for visitors during pre-determined performances and events that are designated as masked events. Masks are optional in our outdoor spaces. N95, KN95 masks, or double masking are highly recommended. Bandanas and neck gaiters are not effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19, and are not considered acceptable forms of face coverings by the Center. Masks are available for free at the front desk for anyone who needs one.

Please note: As masking guidance from local, state and federal policies evolve, we will continue to notify visitors of additional policy details and updates on our masking requirements.

Class Registration Policy

Abrons Arts Center encourages students to register for classes at least a week prior to the start of class.

Attendance Policy

Abrons Arts Center may discontinue enrollment for any student with three (3) consecutive absences, a pattern of absences or consistent tardiness without notification. In this circumstance, refunds will not be processed.

Payment

Full payment is required by the student's first day of class.

Registrants will be charged a one time non-refundable $25 registration fee per semester.

Refunds

Refunds will not be issued for any reason (except in the case of class cancellation). Abrons Arts Center does not offer a prorated price for late admission to class.

Creating a Safe Space

Abrons Arts Center is committed to creating a safe environment for all students. If a student is involved in 3 behavioral incidents during the semester, they can be suspended or removed from class by Abrons staff. Behavioral incidents include, but are not limited to: instances of bullying or hate speech, inappropriate language, threats of violence, physical harm to themselves or others, or refusal to follow class rules and guidelines.

Class Cancellation Policy

While the cancellation of classes rarely happens, it does occur occasionally, usually due to low enrollment. To provide ample opportunity for enrollment, registration will be open until the first day of class, unless the class is full.

Students or student guardians will be notified of class cancellation via both email and phone call. Abrons Arts Center will make every effort to ensure the student is provided with the options to a) take another class, b) receive a credit or c) be issued a refund.

Make Up Lessons

Requests to reschedule lessons can occur via email with mutual consent from both student and teaching artist no later than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson. If a student cancels a lesson within 48 hours of their scheduled lesson, the lesson is ineligible for a makeup and the student will be charged.
