Students will explore fashion as a form of self-expression while learning the foundations of fashion design. Through creative exercises, mood boards, fashion illustration, branding, and introductory sewing techniques, students will develop their own design concepts and create a final project that reflects their personal identity and creative voice.
About Andres Biel
Andres Biel is a New York City-based fashion designer, creative director, and educator, as well as the founder of IFLYUNIVERSE. I create work rooted in storytelling, craftsmanship, and self-expression, using fashion as a way to communicate identity and build confidence.
I’ve had the opportunity to present my work on the runway and was honored as the Harlem Fashion Week Emerging Designer of the Year. Teaching has become a natural extension of my creative practice, allowing me to share my passion for fashion while encouraging young people to explore their creativity, trust their ideas, and express themselves through design.
