Class Information

In Digital Music Production, learners will gain an understanding of introductory digital music production techniques and working with digital audio workstations (DAWs). Using mobile devices, browsers, and in-house equipment, we will explore songwriting, sampling, and beatmaking to create original songs and compositions.

About Luss

Luss, a singer-songwriter and teaching artist born and raised in the Bronx, has facilitated workshops internationally and partnered with local organizations such as Found Sound Nation, Carnegie Hall, and The Bronx Children’s Museum to create engaging programming centered around the intersection of music production and songwriting. His creative practice blends various genres, including R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, and Pop, forming a unique musical palette that has led to collaborations with a diverse range of artists. A two-time recipient of “The Bronx Recognize Its Own” award for vocal performance, Luss has made significant contributions to the music scene. In 2017, he collaborated with Vice and Delta to host a pop-up recording studio event at Kinfolk in Brooklyn, NY. In 2023, he also collaborated with JBL to host Street Studio, an interactive outdoor music recording experience aimed at engaging the community and nurturing local talent. His recent single “No Angels” has garnered praise from outlets like Earmilk, Fame Magazine, Clout, and more. Luss continues to perform nationally and internationally with critically acclaimed musicians.
